Parade and Halloween Mardi Gras Party

Posted on Updated on

The Southport Parks Department will host its annual Parade and Halloween Party on Oct. 24. Parade line is 5 p.m. at the Southport Elementary School. Everyone is invited to put on their best costume, animals included, and get in the parade! The parade, grand marshalled by the Shrine Clowns, will make its way to Southport Park for the Halloween Party.

This year’s Halloween Party theme is a family-friendly Mardi Gras. The Southport High School band will perform New Orleans-style jazz music. The Lions Club of Southport Inc. will sell hot dogs, walking tacos, chips, drinks and more to support their community initiatives. Southport Park will be home to a zombie village with zombies, ghosts, haunted hay rides and Captain Spaulding’s Cave. Brave your way from spooky tent to tent to get candy and frightening fun.
